WWE’s Likely Direction For Asuka’s Next Feud

WWE has a lot of decisions to make as they continue writing interesting storylines for fans. Asuka was granted the RAW Women’s Title, but Charlotte Flair will likely be a part of things as well.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed the current direction of the WWE women’s division. It is likely that Asuka will defeat Nia Jax at Backlash. This seemingly sets Charlotte Flair up as the next contender for the red brand’s title.

“I think it’s pretty clear that the Asuka and Charlotte — Charlotte now has two wins over Asuka so I would think that this is building a feud between the two of them.”

Charlotte Flair just lost the NXT Women’s Title at NXT TakeOver: In Your House. She wasn’t pinned when dropping the gold. This does matter because she didn’t lose as much heat when giving up the title.

It was previously reported that Flair is set to be Becky Lynch’s replacement as the top female in WWE until The Man returns. Odds are that period of time could include another title reign.
