WWE could be in the mood to call up a few NXT Superstars. There are 3 coming to the main roster that we know of, but plans for Velveteen Dream were reportedly nixed. Could WWE call up Tommaso Ciampa instead?

During Wrestling Observer Live, it was noted that Tommaso Ciampa’s loss to Karrion Kross at NXT TakeOver: In Your House could have been a way to write Ciampa out of NXT.

This makes sense, but Ciampa also stated in the past that he would rather retire than move to the main roster. The fact that he now has a beef with Randy Orton is very interesting.

“I don’t know what the future is for Tommaso Ciampa. I do know this that Randy Orton made some comments about TakeOver and there was a lot of leg slapping and then Ciampa cut a promo on him on Twitter.”

“I don’t know if Tommaso Ciampa is going to the main roster. I haven’t heard anything about Tommaso Ciampa going to the main roster, but I feel he could be going. Because at the last feud he had was that feud with Johnny Gargano the only thing that would make any sense is if one of them leaves NXT. They didn’t do a loser leaves town match and then Karrion Kross jumped him.”

It was then noted that perhaps Tommaso Ciampa losing so heavily to Karrion Kross at TakeOver: In Your House was a way to get Kross over before Tommaso Ciampa left. We’ll have to see what WWE’s plans are, because they can change on a frequent basis.
