Matt Riddle was called up to the WWE main roster’s SmackDown brand. That seemed to be easier said than done.

Fightful reports that Vince McMahon decided to call up Matt Riddle after a meeting, but the novel coronavirus held things up. Riddle was 1/2 of the NXT Tag Team Champions and Pete Dunne couldn’t make the shows due to a travel ban.

The company initially intended on waiting for Pete Dunne to return and “see how things played out.” Then a decision was made to have Riddle drop the NXT Tag Team Titles after Timothy Thatcher turned on him.

This led to Matt Riddle finally arriving on the WWE main roster. Ringside News exclusively reported that the backstage heat on Riddle isn’t as bad as he let on.

We’ll have to see how Matt Riddle does on SmackDown. The company apparently has big plans for the King Of Bros.
