WWE brought back a live crowd for television tapings this week. Performance Center students and NXT Superstars surrounded the ring and it was a long day of tapings for them as well.

A Plexiglass barrier was installed around the barricade. It resembled boards at a hockey game. Mike Johnson stated on PW Insider Elite audio that WWE’s plans from this point on could be to keep that barrier in place, even when they start to tour once again.

“We are told that this could become the norm going forward if and when WWE decides to hold events in traditional buildings again.

WWE might not return to the live house show business. Vince McMahon made that statement during his last investors’ call.

There are other indicators of that fact as well. Even if WWE isn’t producing house shows a barrier like the one we saw last night could become the norm for all future touring television tapings.
