The Undertaker was in a physical condition around WrestleMania XXX where Vince McMahon didn’t know how many more matches The Deadman had in him. That was one of the contributing factors to breaking the streak. The Undertaker still hasn’t wrestled his final match over six years later.

The idea of The Undertaker wrestling his final match has taken over the pro wrestling community. The five-part Last Ride docuseries could lay the groundwork for The Undertaker’s final encounter.

While speaking to The Toronto Sun, The Undertaker discussed his final match. He stated that he does believe that he has one more match that is befitting to his legacy. The hard part is that he is really hard on himself.

“I feel like I’ve got a match (left) that is befitting what I feel like that the legacy of The Undertaker deserves. But the hard part is, if I grade myself, I grade myself on where I was physically in the early 2000s. I don’t grade myself on the curve of it being 2020 and being 55 years old.”

The Undertaker’s quest to go out on one last great match will likely continue. It appears that AJ Styles could be The Undertaker’s opponent once again. He also stated that he will never truly retire.

The Deadman is under WWE contract until he’s 70 years old so we likely have a lot more time with The Undertaker.
