Rapper Dave East Arrested For Marijuana Possession Hours Prior To Friend’s Funeral

Rapper Dave East was arrested by New York Police Department earlier today.

FOX5NY learned that the arrest happened at 1:00 AM after they pulled over the passenger car East was traveling in. The car was pulled over because the cops could smell a “strong odor” of marijuana.

After being pulled over, East wasn’t co-operative with the officers which made matters worse for him. However, he eventually played along during the investigation process and was ultimately handed two summonses and was given permission to leave.

East uploaded the video of his arrest on his Instagram handle in which people acquainted with East can be heard saying things like “This is harassment” to the police officers.

The caption of the said post is for East’s friend and fellow rapper Kiing Shooter who passed away earlier in the month due to COVID-19 complications. East was supposed to attend his friend’s funeral later on the same day.
