Ever since Sami Zayn was stripped of the Intercontinental Championship, fans have been wondering whether or not WWE was unhappy with him for deciding against attending tapings.

Regardless of what the answer to that question is, it’s safe to say that Zayn is going to do everything in his power to remind fans who the ‘real’ champion actually is.

So then, it makes sense that he wouldn’t be all too pleased with the Intercontinental Championship tournament that has been announced by the company.

The actual line-up for the tournament is really strong, with Bryan, Gulak, Hardy, Sheamus, Elias, Corbin, Styles and Nakamura all serving as viable champions.

It would make sense for Zayn to return and challenge the winner of the tournament, but it all depends on when he’s comfortable with a return to action.
