WWE produced a very different version of the Money In The Bank match this year. The WWE Headquarters served as the match’s setting, but they needed to shoot more footage.

Mike Johnson said on PW Insider Elite audio that the company needed to come back after the initial shooting to film “pick-up shots.” It appears that they needed additional footage that they didn’t get shot the first time around.

“They did do pick-up shots. I don’t know what they were, but as recently as a week ago they were filming to insert into this and it was very much put together in post production.”

It was noted that everything that they shot on the roof was done on April 15th. That is the same day that WWE announced their wide-spread company lay-offs.
