Sami Zayn hasn’t been on SmackDown weeks and he’s not coming back any time soon. His status as Intercontinental Champion will be addressed this week.

Ringside News exclusively reported that Sami Zayn won’t be back on SmackDown for a while. We also reported that his IC Title status will be addressed shortly.

Post Wrestling reports that WWE will address Sami Zayn’s IC Title status on this week’s episode. It was not noted exactly how WWE will address this issue. Odds are it won’t end with Zayn as IC Champion.

Sami Zayn’s absence has been noticed backstage, but he is also not the most agreeable person to work with. This is an interesting situation and only adds to the changes going on in WWE right now.
