WWE released Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins from their contracts on April 15th. Plenty of other on-screen talent were let go along with them. WWE producers were furloughed and tons of other WWE employees were released as well. Those releases also nixed a tag team.

The Major Brothers will not be teaming with each other on the indies. Matt Cardona did an Instagram Q&A and he revealed that after having a talk with Brian Myers they both agreed that their team will not continue.

So, Brian and I talked about this. We are not teaming. We are not teaming anywhere unless– one of the things we want to do is we do the Major Wrestling Figure live podcasts, but we’d like to put on live wrestling shows. I would love to team with him in that environment or I’d love to wrestle like the Rock N’ Roll Express or the Headbangers. But other than that, we’re going our own separate ways.”

This is a big of a bummer, but you can never say never in pro wrestling. It is always possible for them to make an appearance together in the future. He left the door open for Major Wrestling Figure live shows. It also might be hard to turn down a match against the Rock N’ Roll Express or the Headbangers.
