Professional wrestling is an essential business in Florida. Any sports or entertainment entity that has a national broadcast and zero fans in attendance was considered essential. Now fans could be coming back.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis revealed new guidelines for re-opening the state. It appears that fans will be allowed back at pro wrestling events as early as May 4th.

These new guidelines mandate that spectators can attend events as long as the venue is only 25% full.

“Large spectator sporting events should use strict social distancing guidelines and limit occupancy of venues to 25 percent of building capacity.”

This is a brand new announcement and a change in Ron DeSantis’ policy. We will have to see if WWE and AEW take Florida up on this offer.

AEW is likely to run in Daily’s Place with WWE running at the Performance Center once again. Let’s see if they start letting fans attend events and what measures they take to ensure everyone’s safety.
