Some WWE Superstars were able to construct impressive home gyms. Natalya and TJ Wilson have a really nice set-up. Others aren’t so fortunate because they used to rely exclusively on the gym, and they have no way to set something up on their own.
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed how WWE is shutting Superstars out of the Performance Center. They aren’t allowed in the building unless they are filming. This restricts access to the gym as well. It could eventually take a toll on Superstars who are working out at home, no matter how hard they go at it.
“I will guarantee you that Tony Nese is probably doing everything that he can do, but without a fully equipped gym he’s going to get smaller. It’s just the reality because Tony Nese has trained regularly, but if you don’t have access to heavy weights you’re going to get smaller when you look like Tony Nese. With Keith Lee, when you’re not training. Keith Lee’s got this genetic body, I mean he has to train really freaking hard to not look like he looked tonight and, you know he’s obviously unable to do so right now.”
“With all of them. It’s amazing for the ones who are able to maintain their shape. You can run. You can do push ups in your house. If you’ve got weights you can do that, but it ain’t the same as a gym, that’s for sure.”
Since Florida seems to be opening up everything once again gyms might be soon to follow. This could be good news for WWE Superstars who are unable to get the proper workout in at home, but they are also going to run a lot of risks due to the current pandemic situation that still hasn’t gone away.
