Cody Rhodes was on a mission to copyright as many things that his father helped create. WWE seems to have an issue with that, but it isn’t the first time.

Cody filed a trademark on Slamboree and The Match Beyond on November 13th and 19th respectively. These filings including implementing the terms for use in “entertainment in the nature of ongoing television programs in the field of professional wrestling.”

WWE filed to oppose those trademark applications from Cody Rhodes. On April 23rd, they filed for a standard 90 days so they can oppose the filing. As of this writing, WWE has until July 22nd to file their opposition. The reason given is they need additional time to “investigate the claim.”

Cody also filed a trademark for “Dusty Rhodes,” but WWE isn’t opposing that claim.
