Johnny Gargano On If His Interest In Moving To RAW & SmackDown Has Changed

Johnny Gargano’s tenure in NXT outlasted a lot of estimations about his career. It was once thought that he would join the main roster as Johnny Wrestling was called up along with Tommaso Ciampa, Ricochet, and Aleister Black in one quick raid of the black and gold brand’s roster. Circumstances warranted that Ciampa needed neck surgery and Gargano was sent back to NXT.

While speaking to Planeta Wrestling, Gargano was asked about a potential call-up to RAW or SmackDown. “Never say never” was his classic response, but if he had the choice Gargano would never leave NXT.

“I have NXT 4 Life on a shirt so if I have it on a shirt that’s pretty true. I don’t know man, I’m never gonna say never obviously. You never know what’s going to happen. My goal has always been to take NXT to new heights to take NXT to a new level to be the face of the brand and do what I can so that brand can get on that level. I think that it is getting there. I’m never going to say never, but if I have an opportunity to stay in NXT and help this brand that’s what I’m gonna do.”

Johnny Gargano will continue on in his new quest to become NXT Champion once again. He also wants to see Candice LeRae hold the NXT Women’s Title so they can become the first husband and wife in history to hold both top titles in NXT. He will certainly need to at least stick around long enough to accomplish that.
