WWE and Saudi Arabia signed a decade-long deal to produce pro wrestling events in the country. The novel coronavirus pandemic is causing a huge problem in that situation.

Vince McMahon revealed during the 1st quarter 2020 financial call that the company probably won’t get to make a Saudi Arabian trip this time around. They are not losing any money on the deal as the missed date will be moved to the end of their 10-year deal

“As far as Saudi is concerned they would love to have another huge WrestleMania sized event. We usually have two in Saudi. They’re under the same constraints that everyone else is with the pandemic. They’re not sure if they can have it in November or December.”

“The good part is that if we don’t perform we’ll just tack it onto the other end of the contract.”

Vince McMahon said they’re still working on the media rights for their Middle Eastern television deal. Sometimes those things work very slowly. They would have liked to have had the deal done already, but they were unable to get it done by this point.
