WWE hasn’t been able to produce an event with live fans since the novel coronavirus started sweeping the country. They want to bring fans back, but they are still unsure how they will work that out.
Ironically, the last WWE show with fans was a “fan appreciation night” at the WWE Performance Center. They were filming there because Full Sail Arena was occupied that week.
During the WWE 1st quarter 2020 financial call, Vince McMahon was asked about moving fans back into the WWE Performance Center. This is something that they have considered, but they don’t know how to go about it yet.
“Yes we’re looking at that. I don’t know what it looks like. I don’t know if it’s six feet apart and everyone is tested beforehand. If anyone can know how to do it, it’s us.”
It’s unlikely that WWE will be able to tour the country with their live events for a long time. Vince McMahon even commented saying that he’s not certain that WWE will be in the live event business when we get on the other side of the COVID-19 pandemic.
WWE will probably see fans attend events once again, but they aren’t in any hurry to add unnecessary risks to the situation.
