The Revival requested their release from WWE time and time again. The company kept telling them no. Now they have changed their tune and the Top Guys are no longer WWE Superstars.

WWE announced today that effective immediately, Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson have been released from their contracts. They were also wished the best in their future endeavors.

Effective today, Friday April 10, 2020, WWE and The Revival have agreed on their immediate release from WWE. We wish them all the best in their future endeavors.

WWE adding “effective immediately” to this message could mean a 90-day non-compete clause doesn’t apply in this instance. If a 90-day non-complete clause is in the picture then the Top Guys wouldn’t be able to sign anywhere until July 10th.

It is widely assumed that both Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder will be going to AEW. Scott Dawson’s contract was set to expire very soon. Dash Wilder’s contract wasn’t up until June after WWE tacked on additional time due to a 2017 injury.
