Bray Wyatt introduced The Fiend to the WWE Universe just before SummerSlam. It took the company long enough, but they finally have that name locked down.

Recent filing show that WWE filed for a copyright on The Fiend on April 1st. This copyright was registered for “wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler rendered live and through broadcast media including television and via the internet or commercial online service.”

WWE likes to own everything that they use on their television shows. It’s a bit surprising that WWE just locked down The Fiend considering the massive amounts of Wyatt merchandise WWE has been pumping into the marketplace.

Bray Wyatt successfully defeated John Cena in a Firefly Fun House match at WrestleMania 36. It will be interesting to see who The Fiend places his target on next.
