WWE recorded as much footage as they could before Orange County, Florida went on a two-week stay at home order. The entire state of Florida is now under a stay at home order extending that isolation time for another month. This could present a big issue for WWE.
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that WWE actually has footage shot until next Wednesday’s NXT. They are in a very tough spot after that because they might not have anywhere they can shoot.
“They’re fine until the 8th. So they’ve got Friday’s SmackDown, Monday’s RAW, and Wednesday’s NXT so that’s all done. Then after that they gotta find a place for April 10th. Connecticut’s shut down too so it’s not like they can go there — I mean in theory, they might not be able to go to their office and do wrap-arounds. I’m sure they will, but based on what we’re told I mean you’re not supposed to go to work unless you’re an essential service and going to do wrap-arounds in the studio, that’s — I guess you could have people do it from home, I suppose that’s possible.”
“That’s another thing that them and AEW and UFC all have to figure out is what’s the move for next week then what’s the move for the week after.”
It will be very interesting to see how WWE and AEW both make it through this month. We can only hope that a month inside will help stall the novel coronavirus so we can get back to life in some respect. Hopefully, people take these stay at home orders seriously.
