AEW Taped Additional Content Last Week Just In Case

AEW doesn’t know what is going to happen next week. Like so many others, they are planning ahead with the idea that everything can change.

The company held Dynamite last week from Daily’s Place. It was a very interesting and newsworthy episode. This week they hope to do the same from Jacksonville.

Dave Meltzer noted during Wrestling Observer Radio that AEW did film additional content last week. We also noted in our report of the Dark spoilers that it seemed like they recorded additional material.

“They did tape other stuff last week and they will tape other stuff this week as well. As far as like full episodes, you know every week is a new week. Maybe they’ll do it [this week]. Nothing’s for sure, but I think that they were hoping, I mean they taped more stuff last week and some of it may air for Dark and some of it may not. So, but it isn’t like they taped two shows because as of right now they are gonna tape this week and as of right now they’re gonna tape stuff the week after, and after that, who knows? They will be taping more than the live stuff this week. As far as whether it is for Dark or further episodes of Dynamite that is to be determined.”

It’s unclear why AEW recorded this additional footage, but it never hurts to have extra material that they can air in case making it to Daily’s Place is eventually impossible.
