Drew McIntyre has really come into his own since winning the 2020 Royal Rumble. He is set for a WWE Title match against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 36 (whenever that might happen).

Gorilla Position Podcast recently spoke to Drew McIntyre. He revealed that his best promos are without a script. He prefers to just be given bullet points so he can go out and work with the crowd.

“It’s way more natural for me to go out there without a script, just bullet points, have a laugh and get the crowd involved than it was during the first time I returned to Raw and was talking about eating carcasses, which no-one could relate to because no-one talks like that in real life.”

It helps that Drew McIntyre has a lot of support backstage. He’s been able to prove that he has the ability to work a microphone as well.

It might be very interesting to see how WWE handles McIntyre’s new persona, especially as they perform in front of an empty WWE Performance Center once again for RAW next week.
