CM Punk Says He Could ‘Technically’ Wrestle For AEW & Work For WWE Backstage

CM Punk surprised a lot of people when he showed up on WWE Backstage. He’s not on every week, but his presence seems to make a difference in the ratings.

While speaking to Kevin In The Mornings with Allie and Jensen, CM Punk discussed his current deal with FOX. He loves being on a show like WWE Backstage, and he’s having fun. Punk also credited Renee Young for helping him get on the show.

When the Second City Savior was asked about the possibility of him wrestling for AEW, he was quite honest. It would technically be okay, but he highly doubts that FOX would be 100% cool with him continuing to appear on WWE Backstage.

“I think if I was wrestling for AEW, I’m sure Fox would be like, ‘well, it was fun while it lasted.’ I guess technically [I could],” Punk said. “Technically I could do that yeah, but I’m sure Fox would be like, ‘well?'”

CM Punk doesn’t seem to regret the career decisions he’s made since leaving WWE. He is happy and still wealthy while more opportunities are coming his way. His acting chops in Girl On The Third floor has also turned some heads. So, he might be too busy acting in the future to wrestle.
