NXT recently celebrated 10 years of being in existence, dating all the way back to the inaugural incarnation of the show which was more of a competition than an actual brand.
While the initial NXT did give us the rise of The Nexus and the introduction of people like Bray Wyatt and Daniel Bryan, in the long run, fans tend to prefer the sensational NXT product that emanates from Full Sail University on a week to week basis.
One man who is a huge part of that, and is also a big part of the Performance Center’s success, is none other than NXT general manager William Regal.
While Regal was always a phenomenal in-ring performer that gave his all each and every week, his everlasting legacy could well be attached to the growth and sustainability of NXT once it’s all said and done.
Alongside Triple H he’s been able to build this product from the ground up – which even included him competing in NXT once or twice back in the day.
There are many, many stars out there who will be incredibly grateful for what Regal has been able to do for them since they came through the doors of the WWEPC, and it’s exciting to think that he may only just be getting started.
