Jim Ross made a mention to Matt Hardy during AEW Dynamite this week. He didn’t say Hardy’s name, but instead he used an expression coined by Broken Matt Hardy when referring to the Young Bucks.

Matt Hardy responded to Jim Ross saying “The Bucks Of Youth” and he seemed happy to share the expression. Dave Meltzer noticed this and brought it up during Wrestling Observer Radio where he stated that there could be more to the story.

“I’m not gonna say that that’s not related to Matt Hardy because it could be, it could be. It’s not necessarily, but it could be. Matt Hardy, look the thing on Monday for Matt Hardy, things can always change, but that was meant for him to be written out of WWE. So there you go.”

Matt Hardy’s WWE contract is up on Marsh 1st. He could be free to leave WWE and start working for another company immediately. If he lets his contract run out then there is no 90 day no compete clause.
