Matt Riddle continues to call out Brock Lesnar, but Triple H doesn’t care. That is why Riddle was given permission to say that he will retire Brock Lesnar during a recent NXT Las Vegas house show.
During Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez explained everything he knows about the current Brock Lesnar and Matt Riddle situation. It is pretty much all out there and Triple H confirmed it today.
Riddle and Lesnar had words backstage at the Royal Rumble. Vince McMahon isn’t happy about it, but the entire situation isn’t bothering Triple H at all.
“As far as I know the Lesnar Riddle thing is not a work. Vince isn’t happy with Riddle calling out Lesnar, but Triple H doesn’t care. So, in Triple H’s mind if you wanna go out on an NXT show and call out Lesnar, then go ahead. Maybe one day it will catch on to the degree that people will want to get involved with it, but what I was told is there’s nothing going on. It’s not a work. Triple H doesn’t care. Vince doesn’t like it, but it’s NXT and NXT is NXT and Triple H is allowing Riddle to do it. That’s the story that I heard.”
Matt Riddle has a big match at NXT TakeOver: Portland. If he can pull down the NXT Tag Team Titles with Pete Dunne against the Undisputed Era then that will be a definite sign that Triple H really doesn’t care what Matt Riddle says about Brock Lesnar.
