The XFL opened their doors this weekend and now we know how many fans tuned in to see what this new brand of spring football is all about.
We previously reported Saturday’s numbers. The first game on ABC did slightly better than the second Saturday number on FOX.
Sunday’s numbers saw their highest-viewed game on FOX as the Vipers lost to the Guardians. Then they dipped to the lowest viewership of the weekend with St Louis’ defeat of Dallas on ESPN.
Saturday 2/8 at 2 PM EST on ABC – The Seattle Dragons vs. The DC Defenders – 3,302000 viewers.
Saturday 2/8 at 5 PM EST on FOX – The LA Wildcats vs. The Houston Roughnecks- 3,290,000 viewers
Sunday 2/9 at 2 PM EST on FOX – The Tampa Bay Vipers vs. The New York Guardians – 3,385,000 viewers.
Sunday 2/9 at 5 PM EST on ESPN – The St. Louis BattleHawks vs. The Dallas Renegades -2,495,000 viewers
The XFL is just starting back up. This weekend’s games will determine whether fans will come back next week. We’ll have to see how they do in the end, but they’re not off to the worst start.
