While Matt Hardy may not be doing all too much on WWE programming right now, he’s certainly not wasting any time when it comes to putting himself out there.
He has one of the most active Twitter accounts in all of professional wrestling and while that may not seem like a big deal, it allows him to keep his name in the spotlight as fans wait to see what his next move in the business is going to be.
Some believe he’s going to leave WWE and others think this is nothing more than a decoy. Either way, it doesn’t feel like he has the longest window left in which to perform on the big stage.
Matt noted something that many other fans have also picked up on, and that is the overwhelming strength of the business right now. From AEW to NXT and beyond there is an awful lot to enjoy and sample – especially on Wednesday nights.
While it doesn’t quite feel like pro wrestling has hit its latest boom period, with ratings still being called in question by some even in this age of streaming and YouTube, the signs are clearly all there that the industry is going to be just fine.
As for Hardy, nobody really knows what the future is going to hold. A lot will depend on whether or not his brother Jeff leaves WWE or returns in some way, shape or form.
Whatever the case may be, we’re all excited to see what happens next.
