Fox’s shelled out a ton of money to get the Friday Night SmackDown brand. That kind of heavy spending was certainly evident in Fox’s financial report, but they made up for it.

Variety reports that Fox Corporation had a 5% rise in revenue for the fourth quarter of 2019. They reported a turnover of $3.78 billion and a net income of $314 million. In the same quarter of the previous year Fox posted a $24 million net profit.

The costs associated with Fox losing their UFC contract and picking up the costly WWE brand was evident. They still experienced a 5% increase overall in their revenue which is a positive sign which offsets any loss the company experienced when paying for Friday Night SmackDown.

As of this writing fans are still expecting WWE’s fourth quarter 2019 financial report.
