WWE cut back on their number of live events. This is a good thing as it gives Superstars more time off. It also means that some people won’t be making the money they expected.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter said that one bad thing about cutting live events is that they are often “more fun” for the Superstars. It is also a chance for younger talent to “improvise a little and improve” their game.

Another issue is the fact that some people looked at their February booking sheets and say a lot fewer dates on it. This made them start to worry about their income.

There was a good amount of talent who had no idea about the cutback in house shows until they got their February booking sheets and saw how much it was cut down. While the top guys are making a lot of money these days, the rest of the crew will have their income affected by working so many fewer dates.

There could be a “happy medium,” but cutting the live events so much caught some Superstars off guard. It should be noted that NXT Superstars aren’t paid per show and they make a flat salary. At this point, NXT is working more live events than RAW and SmackDown.
