Title Match Announced For WWE SmackDown This Week

WWE’s blue brand will have a chance to set their positions after the Royal Rumble. WrestleMania is now in sight and SmackDown might get a new champion this week.

The company revealed that Shinsuke Nakamura will put the IC Title on the line against Braun Strowman this week on Friday Night SmackDown. The Monster Among Men has been chasing The Artist’s title for a minute and this week he will finally get his opportunity.

This title match was rumored for the Royal Rumble. WWE obviously decided against it and held a United States Title match during the kickoff show instead.

We’ll have to see what happens, but SmackDown might see the crowning of a new monster champion this week.
