Matt Hardy showed up on RAW this week and he lost to Erick Rowan. This loss for Hardy resulted in a disapproving storm online where his name trended worldwide.
Hardy later announced that he hopes fans enjoyed that appearance on RAW because there likely won’t be many more to come. That is sad, but Hardy likely won’t stay out of work for very long if he does let his WWE contract expire.
Even though last night’s Raw was not the best outing for Matt Hardy it was still a big night. Last night saw Hardy wrestle his first WWE match in 2020. WWE Stats let fans know that after last night’s match Matt Hardy has officially competed on WWE Raw in 20 different calendar years.
Matt Hardy has now competed on @WWE#Raw in 20 different calendar years.
Time between @MATTHARDYBRAND’s first RAW match (in 1994) and tonight’s match: 25 years, 8 months.
What makes this so impressive is the fact that Matt Hardy spent so much time away from WWE. His entire career hasn’t been under Vince McMahon’s umbrella, but he’s given a lot to the company.
Now is appears that March 2nd could see Matt Hardy starting the search for his next pro wrestling home.
