WWE has a few Superstars on the roster who haven’t been around for one reason or another. Velveteen Dream has been out of action since NXT debuted on the USA Network. His back is reportedly giving him some problems, but his moment might be coming up soon.
PW Insider reports that “multiple sources” have told them that Velveteen Dream and Jinder Mahal will both be at the Royal Rumble event.
PWInsider.com has been told by multiple sources that NXT star The Velveteen Dream (who has been off TV with a back issue, but has been at all NXT TV tapings and the Performance Center regularly) and Jinder Mahal (who has been out since last year with a torn ACL) are slated to be in Houston, Texas for Royal Rumble weekend.
This report noted that those two are slated to be in Texas for the Royal Rumble. It doesn’t necessarily mean they will be competing on the show, but it stands to reason that could be a big possibility.
It was not confirmed if a Royal Rumble match inclusion will also mean Velveteen Dream’s main roster call-up. It is possible since he has nothing going on in any current NXT storyline.
Jinder Mahal teased a return to the ring recently. The timing for his comeback would also fit in well with the Royal Rumble event.
