Io Shirai Unhappy In WWE

Io Shirai and Kairi Sane both have open invitations to return to Japan. Bushi Road, the parent company of STARDOM and NJPW have told them that they are free to come back if they wish. Io might take them up on that offer.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer commented that Io Shirai is “not necessarily happy” in WWE at this time.

There are a couple of reasons why she’s not so happy. She was making more in STARDOM than she is in NXT. Her fiance, NJPW wrestler Evil is also in Japan. The separation from Evil is also something she could do without.

We’ll have to see if Io Shirai leaves WWE. They could always call her up to the main roster as a means to give her more money. That won’t bring her any closer to Japan.
