WWE’s Goal For Becky Lynch At 2020 Royal Rumble

Becky Lynch is headed into the 2020 Royal Rumble as Raw Women’s Champion. It appears she will finally defending her title on pay-per-view and WWE has an opponent in mind.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the plan is for Becky Lynch to face Asuka at the 2020 Royal Rumble. This will also give The Man an opportunity to avenge her previous loss one year earlier.

The plans eventually were to lead to Lynch vs Asuka in a singles title match. Presumably this takes place at the Royal Rumble as the one-year anniversary of their match where Asuka beat Lynch clean with the Asuka lock. 

Becky Lynch lost clean to Asuka, but then she walked in the Royal Rumble match later on in the night and won. WWE is going to keep chugging along with The Man as the chosen one and the Royal Rumble will provide her with a good opportunity to pay back an old debt.
