In the main event of Monday Night RAW earlier on this week, Randy Orton and AJ Styles put on the kind of show that proves why they’re two of the very best wrestlers that WWE has at their disposal.
Both should be consistently featuring in the main event, and that doesn’t just go for RAW, either. They’re veterans of the game at this stage but they’re still more than good enough to feature in, and potentially even win, world title matches.
With the 2020 men’s Royal Rumble match being right around the corner it’s time for people to step up and be counted because let’s face it, there’s a world title match at WrestleMania 36 on the line, here.
In the aforementioned main event it was Orton who was able to get the upper hand of Styles in their bout, nailing him with the sort of RKO finish that most superstars can only dream of.
The RKO is well known for being one of the most protected finishers in all of professional wrestling, and while that may be a bit difficult for some to accept, there is truly no better sight than seeing that move get hit to perfection by a guy as overwhelmingly talented as Orton.
Now, as the new year approaches, we’re fascinated to see what is going to be in store for both men in the immediate future. Will they continue to be heavily featured, or will they fall away as the weeks and months go on? Only time will tell.
