Dusty Rhodes’ legacy will always be felt in professional wrestling as long as the sport exists. Cody Rhodes has been on a mission to retain ownership of many of his father’s ideas, but the National Wrestling Alliance might have beat Cody to a big name.

NWA announced last night during Powerrr that their January 24th pay-per-view will be called “Hard Times.” This is an obvious reference to The American Dream’s famous “hard times” promo.

When Cody Rhodes was asked about his opinion on the NWA’s new pay-per-view name he admitted that his father’s legacy is hard to contain.

His legacy is really hard to contain and that’s a good thing. Always nice to see his influence on the sport.

Cody Rhodes will continue to see his father’s legacy have an impact on pro wrestling. It’s good to know that he’s not openly upset about the NWA using the Hard Times name. If anything, it’s just another great homage to the legacy of Dusty Rhodes.
