Bayley On Venting Real Frustrations With Heel Persona In WWE

Bayley is a heel now and she has the murdered Bayley Buddies to prove it.

While speaking to the New York Post, Bayley said that it is just as “exhausting” to be a mean heel than it was to be a cheerful babyface. She then reflected a bit on what she is unearthing when showing her frustrations through this new heel persona.

“I think honestly it’s real frustration. I’ve been wrestling for over 10 years. I’ve been with WWE for seven years, so not all of it has been colorful and castle-like and wacky wavy inflatable tubemen and happy and fun. It’s been a struggle. It’s really, really difficult to kind of stay on top for a period of time, so it’s pretty easy to find frustration believe it or not.”

The SmackDown Women’s Champion also said that she and Sasha Banks always wanted to play a couple of jerk characters. This makes the situation almost like a dream come true.

“It’s like a dream come true because we have always talked about being a team that was just such jerks. And we were like, man, it’s never gonna happen. There’s no way they’ll make this possible. And just recently we have been able to tag on live events and dark matches and all that stuff where we are able to try a few things out, and it’s just amazing.”

Bayley worked very hard to make it to WWE only to play second fiddle in many situations. Now that she’s a champion on the blue brand she is also a heel. This will likely provide her with many more chances to voice her frustrations as her reign continues.
