Alex Riley Returning To The Ring — Teases NXT & AEW

Alex Riley hasn’t wrestled for WWE since 2016. He was released on May 6th, 2016, but now he’s making a return to the ring.

Riley will be competing at the Generation Championship Wrestling event on March 31st and April 1st in Tampa. The promotion wrote the following release on Facebook to promote the appearance.

Kevin Riley – Steel Horse (fka Alex Riley) is coming to Generation Championship Wrestling – GCW.

The Steel Horse is no stranger to Wrestling Fans… he popped on the scene in the 2nd season of NXT (the competition) , spent time protecting half of the “It” Couple, grabbed briefcases and brass rings…. and then made Netflix & The Super popular TV Show “Glow” his …. home.

And real athletes ALWAYS answer…
Now, after much reflection … he is ready to dominate again, and make his return to Professional Wrestling.

Riley also wrote on Instagram teasing that NXT or AEW might be next.

“I know you may not agree, but i feel you should go back to professional wrestling for one more run, not wwe or nxt…maybe AEW.”

Alex Riley has been acting since his WWE release. He hasn’t had much to do with the pro wrestling world, but he has sent some messages to John Cena. Let’s see what’s next for him.
