The main event match for next week’s show is a United States Title match between Rey Mysterio and Seth Rollins. Mysterio retains the title via DQ, but then after the match things went even further.
The Authors Of Pain try to put Rey Mysterio through a table, but Samoa Joe wouldn’t move and allow them to execute the move. Then AOP beat up Samoa Joe as Rey Mysterio took a Curb Stomp from Rollins.
Samoa Joe has been out of action with a thumb injury. It was said that he will be returning to the ring once that injury is over. He has a medical evaluation set for December 30th which is the next live RAW taping.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Samoa Joe will be moved into a top feud upon re-entering the active WWE roster. He will also be a babyface.
“On the next show next week Joe does the babyface turn and he’s gonna be in there in that main event feud. So, there you go.”
We’ll have to see what’s next for Samoa Joe. Don’t get too used to him on the RAW announce desk because it seems like 2020 will see a return of the Samoan Submission Machine to the squared circle.
