Sin Cara showed up at a AAA event over the weekend. He was using his WWE name, but he didn’t have the company’s permission. This was an interesting situation, but now it seems that he has picked a new name.

Luchablog reports that Sin Cara’s new name will be “Cinta de Oro.” Now he will share the name of the man who helped train him. He has also been sporting a golden ribbon on his mask as a tribute to his trainer.

The former WWE Superstar filed a trademark for “Cinta de Oro” back in July, but it hasn’t been approved yet. It was noted that legal action might need to be taken in order to secure that name. A woman named Maria Zarate claims to have owned the name since 2016.

WWE obviously wouldn’t let him continue being Sin Cara. He might not have a new name 100% locked down yet, but it appears that he is still making plenty of moves.
