WWE Reveals Commercial Free Opening Match For NXT This Week

WWE NXT and AEW Dynamite tied in the ratings last week. It’s remarkable, but it happened. Now WWE will be pulling a clever trick to make sure December 18th’s ratings will be the best possible.

The company revealed that NXT will open this week with Adam Cole’s NXT Title defense against Finn Balor. This match will also be presented in a commercial free format.

The rest of NXT this week also looks pretty good with Shayna Baszler defending the NXT Women’s Title against Rhea Ripley.

NXT will not have another episode in 2019, so they are making this week count. They will return again with live episodes on January 8th.
