WWE had several angles going as they rolled into TLC, but not all of them could make the show. It turns out that a couple of matches needed to hit the cutting room floor.

WWE TLC is a loaded event, but during Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted three matches that WWE had planned for TLC that aren’t happening. The thinking is that at least one of those matches will be held off until the Royal Rumble in 2020.

“AJ and Orton was moved to RAW on Monday so that will not be on the show. Braun Strowman was not medically cleared so Nakamura vs Strowman is not going to be on the show and Bayley and Lacey Evans after shooting angles for it the decision was made that it was too early so they’re not planning it for probably the Royal Rumble. They wanna hold off for the Royal Rumble which is a long way away for angles that were shot now.”

The Royal Rumble is on January 26th so that’s a long way to hold off on having those matches. We’ll just have to see what WWE can do in the meantime to possibly stretch some of those stories out so we can see them conclude in Houston, Texas.
