John Morrison left WWE in 2011, but he didn’t stay out of the pro wrestling world. Apart from some acting gigs, appearing on Survivor, and creating Boone The Bounty Hunter he’s wrestled consistently on television.

Now Morrison is back in WWE after spending time in Lucha Underground, Impact Wrestling, and a host of indie promotions. He’s still the Guru Of Greatness and is filming material at the WWE Performance Center.

John Morrison posted a picture of himself in a WWE PC ring with a caption about getting back into the swing of things.

8 years since I’ve been in a @WWE ring 😎
Real ropes ain’t the same as the cables I’ve been doing my stuff on since I’ve been away- the @WWEPC is epic‼️ I can’t imagine a better spot to knock off that real rope ring rust

Morrison might have been appearing a lot on television during the past few years, but he hasn’t been working a full-time WWE Superstar schedule. WWE also uses real ropes instead of cables which could really change some of his move set.

There really isn’t anything like the constant travel, bumping, and conditioning needed to keep up with that lifestyle. He’ll likely get back to it like old hat as he re-joins the WWE roster whenever they figure out what they’re going to do with him.
