Major League Wrestling announced on Friday that Teddy Hart has been released from the company. He has since been removed from the MLW website. There is a lot more to this story.
PW Insider reports that Hart’s release from MLW was the result of multiple issues. He no-showed events and was a headache as well. Him showing up at an NXT taping certainly didn’t help.
Hart had been requesting his release from MLW for months, but it was continuously denied. Then it was finally granted and the two sides parted ways.
Teddy Hart no-showed scheduled pre-tapes in September that was supposed to build toward a match at MLW’s War Chamber event. They did not appreciate how Hart got most of the “shine” from the first fall in the two out of three falls match either. This also caused an issue with Dr. Tom Prichard who works for the company.
We are told that Tom Prichard, who had been in charge of producing the bout, was extremely upset, to the point that one source claimed Prichard nearly quit MLW right after he started with the company.
Hart also no-showed an event with The Crash Luchas in Mexico. This caused them to scramble and replace him in a six man tag match. He also no-showed more pre-tapes in November. Needless to say, this was a long time coming
