MJF Makes Big Reveal In Response To Cody Rhodes’ Match Request

Cody Rhodes might never get another shot at the AEW World Title. He really only seems to want a piece of MJF instead.

Maxwell Jacob Friedman was not on AEW Dynamite this week. While the Salt Of The Earth and Wardlow got the night off, Cody Rhodes cut a passionate promo offering over $50,000, his red bottom shoes, and a watch given to him by Tony Khan for a match with MJF.

It didn’t take Friedman long to respond and it sounds like he’s not interested in having a match against Cody. MJF took a shot at Cody Rhodes calling him “hood rich.” He has so much money that he was able to “buy the assistance of The Bunny, The Butcher, and The Blade.” So, MJF was behind that attack.

MJF said that when he’s the owner of a $45,000 ring, “then what’s a couple of grand?” This is why they picked QT Marshall as Cody Rhodes’ tag team partner because MJF was behind all of it.

This was a pretty informative little promo, but it would have made a lot more sense if they played it during AEW Dynamite instead of simply releasing it on social media.
