Matt Hardy Could Be Leaving WWE In 13 Weeks

Matt Hardy is still in great shape and eager to entertain, but WWE hasn’t given him much to do. His latest appearance on RAW probably wasn’t the television return he had in mind for himself either. He could have other options soon enough.

PW Insider reports that Matt Hardy’s WWE contract is up in February. He has found himself out of sync with his brother Jeff Hardy’s contract even though they inked them at the same time.

Jeff Hardy is still out of action and dealing with some personal issues. This has likely frozen his contract with WWE. Matt Hardy is currently releasing his own Broken Universe material online and exciting a lot of fans in the process.

Reby Hardy made it quite clear that House Hardy is behind those new Broken videos. Matt owns the character and he can do anything he wants to with it. If Hardy doesn’t sign a new WWE contract soon then we might be in a situation where Matt Hardy can be Broken elsewhere.

The fact that “13 weeks” keeps playing in Hardy’s head could point to his contract expiration date. That would place it at a date somewhere in February.
