AEW isn’t that big of a company, but it appears that they are keeping two guys away from each other who could have a legit rivalry.
Penelope Ford left Joey Janela and then a short time later she ended up with Kip Sabian in real life. This led to some fans thinking that there’d be tension between the two.
Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford cut a promo where it was said “why be bad when you can be Super Bad?” Of course, Joey Janela is “The Bad Boy,” meanwhile, Sabian is Super Bad.
Despite this feud seeming like a natural fit, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that All Elite Wrestling has no intentions of this feud happening.
Right now there are no plans for a Joey Janela vs. Kip Sabian program. Penelope Ford just slipped the line in on the PPV interview and when Janela tweeted that he wouldn’t do that program, that was legit.
You can never say never about AEW doing this feud eventually, but at this time it doesn’t seem to be in their immediate plans. It was also noted how AEW kept Sabian and Janela away from each other during the Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal match.
