Shawn Spears Reveals Why He Attacked Joey Janela On AEW Dynamite

While Shawn Spears may have already beaten Joey Janela, it certainly feels like their feud will continue as they once again battle back and forth across AEW arenas all over the country.

Last night we saw Spears go after Janela once again on an episode of Wednesday Night Dynamite, and while it wasn’t exactly the most vicious of attacks we’ve ever seen, everyone knows what Shawn is capable of – Cody Rhodes included.

Janela is often viewed as being nothing more than a comedy character, but it certainly feels as if a rivalry like this could do wonders for him as he continues to make an impact on Dynamite.

Spears is a big believer in offering out receipts when he feels like he’s been wronged, which is becoming more and more evident as his time in All Elite Wrestling goes on.

Whether or not this ends in another featured match at a big AEW event remains to be seen, as there’s always the possibility that they’ll build towards a big time bout between the pair on a special episode of Dynamite.

The progression of Shawn Spears has been interesting to watch with some fans feeling as if he isn’t quite catching fire, whereas others want to see him featured even more heavily in the main event scene.

Such is the nature of pro wrestling fans, especially with a promotion that is still so new.

For now, we’re just excited to see what sort of direction these two go in on their respective AEW journeys.
