Becky Lynch is at the forefront of the ongoing battle between RAW, SmackDown and NXT, and will fly the flag for the red brand this Sunday when she competes against Shayna Baszler and Bayley.
Alas, while that may be at the core of her focus, last night on NXT saw another potential showdown get teased with Rhea Ripley being tipped to be a real thorn in the side of Lynch for many years to come.
However, instead of sitting back and accepting the subtle threat from Triple H on social media last night, The Man decided to fire back.
It’s safe to say that Becky isn’t being favoured to come away with the win at Survivor Series in her mammoth triple threat match, but in a way, that doesn’t even really matter. As long as they’re able to put on a show, that’s all the fans will care about.
Some have suggested that the three women could actually end up main eventing the show, which makes a lot of sense. Brock Lesnar likes to get his matches out of the way early so probably won’t be in that slot, Bray Wyatt & Daniel Bryan aren’t a part of the brand warfare storyline, and the match itself is featured on the official poster of the show.
If we had to stick our neck out on the line we’d back Baszler to win, but we all know to expect the unexpected in regards to Becky.
Will this lead to another Lynch vs Authority storyline somewhere down the road? Who knows.
