Rey Mysterio Receiving Universal Title Shot

Rey Mysterio is set to face Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series, but just a few days later he has another championship opportunity.

Mysterio and Cain Velasquez were set for tag team competition at the upcoming Mexico City event on November 30th. Then their tag team match was taken off of the card. Now Mysterio finds himself in a much different contest.

Rey Mysterio will challenge Bray Wyatt’s Fiend for the Universal Title in a steel cage match. This is a much different set of circumstances for Rey Mysterio.

Originally, The Fiend was slated to battle The Miz in Mexico City on November 30th. Now Wyatt will face Mr. 6-1-9 instead.

It is very interesting that WWE is booking this match considering the fact that Rey Mysterio has such a big title match against Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series on November 24th.
